Improved charts for reports and dashboards

This quarter we shipped a major charts update to provide more customization options and richer experiences to ensure that your charts convey the exact data that you want, and to make it easy to dig deeper without having to click through.

Rich in-chart interactions

You can now mouse over chart items to highlight them and display tooltips that contain more information about both actuals and projections.

Enable budget vs actuals comparisons

Speaking of actuals and projections, you can now display budget vs historicals on charts to see how you did against plan visually.

Time series scaling

Tired of monthly views? Change your time scale dimensions from monthly to quarterly or yearly to zoom out and get the big picture.

Rollups

Quarterly and yearly rollup values can now be configured to show the sum, average, period-to-date, last value, or no value at all.

Callout card comparisons

Callout cards can now support budget vs. actual comparisons, as well as month-over-month comparisons. Select the "Comparison" option within the chart configuration of your Callout card to edit the comparison type.

Improved Contracts template for SaaS

We've also revamped the metrics within the Contracts template to support more use cases.

The template now includes metrics based on contract close and start dates, metrics to help calculate your ARR/MRR snowball more accurately, and improved logic for new deals, upgrades, churn and downgrades.
